DAY 1

DELHI / DEHRADUN - HARIDWAR

Pick up from Airport / Railway station transfer to Haridwar, Evening view Gangarati. Night halt at Haridwar. An Evening at Ganga aarti Haridwar: The Ganga Aarti in Hardwara Har-ki-Pauri is one of the famous rituals in India. It starts at around 6.30pm after sunset, with large crowds gathered around both the banks of a canal that carries the waters of Ganges. Loud speakers blare songs in praise of Ganga Maiya and Shiva. The time of Aarti sees a bustle of activity on the ghats a pack of diya comes fully equipped and is self-sufficient! It has a wick lamp surrounded by flowers It lasted for around 30 min.

DAY 2

HARIDWAR - RUDRAPRAYAGA / JOSHIMUTH

Morning after breakfast departure to Rudraprayaga / Joshimuth. Night halt

JOSHIMUTH - MANA- BADRINATH

Morning departure to Badrinath. Visit temples of Joshimuth, Winter seat of Badrinath. Afternoon Visit Mana, Last village of India, & Evening Have Darshan .Night halt. Shri Badrinath- Shri Badrinath is one of the most important of all the four(Char) Dhams in India. This temple located between Nar & Narayan mountain ranges and in the shadow of Nilkantha peak at the height of 3,133 mts. It is the most popular of Vishnu pilgrimages among the five Badries, also known as Vishal Badri. Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the banks of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple. Narad Kund: A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered. Mata Murty Temple: Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include SeshNetra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charan Paduka Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet. Bhim Pul: on the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge lies Over the roaring Saraswati River. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers. Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

DAY 4

BADRINATH - RUDRAPRAYAGA/ JOSHIMUTH

Morning holy dip in Taptakund, pitrukarya in Brahmakapala, Afternoon return journey night halt at Rudraprayaga/ Joshimuth. Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the banks of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple. Brahma Kapal is about 2 km from Badrinath. It is believed that Lord Brahma resides in the Brahma Kapal Ghat (a place at the edge of a river). Want to know the mythical belief this place holds? Read on. Lord Brahma, as we all know, is believed to be the creator of the world and is typically shown having four heads looking in four directions. But legend holds that at one time he had five heads, the fifth looking in the upward direction. The locals recite the story as- Manmada who was the husband of Rathi Devi performed a tapa (penance) to impress Lord Brahma. Truly happy with his devotion Brahma gave Manmada three arrows, which when used on anyone, would make that person more inclined to romance, and look what Manmada did in order to test the boon- he tried one arrow on Lord Brahma itself! Longing for company, Lord Brahma spilt himself into a female form, Satrupa (the one with a hundred beautiful forms) and felt attracted towards her. However, Lord Shiva felt that Satrupa was the daughter of Brahma since she originated from him and as a punishment for his unholy behavior, Lord Shiva cut off the head of Brahma that looked upwards so that Satrupa could escape Brahma’s gaze by ascending upwards. The fifth head supposedly fell near the Alaknanda Bank, which is now the Brahma Kapal platform. Knowing this interesting bit of mythology, it’s a must to visit the place. This is also the place people come to obeisance to the deceased, so they get “muktiâor salvation from rebirth.

DAY 5

RUDRAPRAYAG- RISHIKESH - HARIDWAR

Morning dep to Rishikesh, on the way view Karna Prayaga, Dev Prayaga, Visit Laxman joola & Rishikesh Temples, shopping, etc. Night halt at Haridwar. Rishikesh place of sages is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of â Hrishikesh â and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.

HARIDWAR - DELHI
