It’s a temple surrounded by abundant nature, a jungle temple paradise for the meditation center, and serve primarily as a calm place for monks to live and meditate. With old stone buildings, intricate carvings and statues, and plenty of breathtaking places to meditate.
Drive up to Wat Phathat Doi Suthep. The most celebrated temple in Chiang Mai. It contains a holy relic of Lord Buddha with challenging flight of over 306 steps, flanked by enormous mythological naga. A panoramic view of the city can be seen from here at 1,685 meters above sea level.
Start adventure trekking from Suthep Temple throughout the walk will be filled with cluttered branches. Even though it is a rather rough route, apparently gets less visitors and tourists than others, but it is equally attractive and worth visiting.
WAT RONG KHUN –WHITE TEMPLE
Popularly known as the “White Temple,” it's a testament to the transformative power of passion and devotion. Its striking white color and the use of mirrors in its design are unique features that contribute to its ethereal beauty and symbolism
BLACK MUSEUM
Baan Dam Museum, also known to foreigners as the Black House Museum, is a private art museum comprising a mixture of traditional northern Thai buildings with unconventional and contemporary architecture, designed by Thawan Duchanee.
GOLDEN TRIANGLE
Golden Triangle The wonder of Golden Triangle is the visit to 3 countries; Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, in one place. It is 9 kilometers north of Chiang Saen along the Mekong riverside road. Sop Ruak is the place where the Mekong River, the border between Thailand and Laos, meets the Ruak River, the border between Thailand and Myanmar. In the past, the Golden Triangle was the world's largest source of drug trafficking owing to its privileged location attached to many countries. However, it is currently taken good care of and has become a popular tourist attraction. From this viewpoint, the tourists will find the land that connects the three countries, surrounded by a long and calm waterway. There is a boat rental service at Sop Ruak so that the tourists can admire the view at the Golden Triangle. The trip takes only 20 minutes. Besides, the tourists can rent the boat from Sop Ruak to Chiang Saen and Chiang Khong for 40 minutes and 1 hour and a half, respectively. There is also a beautiful spot for tourists to take photos with its spectacular background. Another interesting activity is to pay respect to Phra Chiang Saen Si Phaendin or Phra Buddha Nawa Lan Tue, who appears sitting outdoors on a large boat called Rua Kaew Kusoltham. It is a magnificent bronze Buddha image and is even more outstanding when it is under sunlight
